The McLaughlin Story

Twin brothers Jim and Dave McLaughlin grew up in both Moorhead and Grand Rapids, Minnesota. In June of 1985 at the age of 23 they both attended Mason City College of Auctioneering. The auction business quickly became a mutual passion and their connection as twin brothers brought a unique dimension to the auctioneering process. Possessing over 60 years of combined auctioneering experience, Jim and Dave are among the most experienced professionals in the auction business. They conduct 30 to 40 auctions both live and online every year along with fundraising real-estate auctions.

In June of 2016, Beth McLaughlin (Jim’s daughter) graduated from “The World Wide College of Auctioneering” to officially make McLaughlin Auctioneer’s a two generation “family” auction business. Beth grew up in the auction business. Seller’s and buyers alike will appreciate her great work ethics, joyful and fun personality, and her dedication to the auction industry.
